The Kids accomplishments!

Just wanted to let everyone know that our Emilie is getting promoted next Thursday in her JROTC program at school. She is currently a corporal and will be promoted to a seargent.  We are all very proud of her and her committment to this program.

This one above is from last year.

This one is from her competition she did this year.

April's big news is that she is participating in a Poetry Slam here in a few weeks so we are all really excited to get to go see that.  She is also going to get to go with her drama class to a see a play being performed by Kent (Stark) College students. We are so proud of her accomplishments.

These two above are just random pictures from some of the fun we've had this year.

Tyler also has some great news.  At his Tae Kwon Do competition last weekend he placed First in Sparing and will now move on to nationals in a few months in Texas. That is so exciting. Chick-Fil-A has done some fundraising for his Tae Kwon Do group several times since he has started taking classes there and he has participated by being the Chick-Fil-A cow mascot. (Pictures below are Tyler in costume)

Winter Blast 3/11/2011 Blackberry Pics

So finally got my Blackberry to work right so here are some pictures I took when the girls and I were out and about taking photos. These are all from the Stadium and Monument Parks.

Don't know why this one has this blue hue to it but it looks cool.

This one below is the Blue Heron taking off.

Winter Blast Friday 3/11/2011

The girls and I went out Friday evening and took some shots around the area and this is what we came up with. Hope you all enjoy. We had fun getting these pictures even though it was very windy and cold. All the following pictures were taken by Emilie with her iPod. Unfortunately I am having trouble downloading from my cell phone so those pictures will have to be posted later.

This is a Blue Heron we saw at Monument Park.

Pittsburgh Weekend

So the girls and I went to Pittsburg this past weekend to spend time with Emilie's sister Elizabeth for her birthday.  We had a blast!  Below are some pictures from our trip.
We spent Saturday at the Carnegie Science Center at the Waterfront.  There was a submarine that we were able to go through. For Emilie being in JROTC at school this was a very big deal for her.

Here Emilie wanted a picture of her saluting the men who served our great country on this ship.

Emilie and Elizabeth in the mess hall of the sub pretending to play checkers.  They are so funny.

Elizabeth & April pretending the ship was in trouble and they were trying to save it. They all made me laugh.

We weren't suppose to climb on the beds so shhhhh......

The Robot would talk to you, reminded me of the movie I Robot

These next two were signs posted in the restroom and April was so intrigued that she just had to take a picture to share the information with everyone.

DNA Dino

The girls got some really cool pictures of the fishes on the aquarium level with their iPods.

This was to me the coolest room in the whole place, I could have stayed in there all day just admiring all the trains and the lay out that they did.  It was huge & even the littlest pieces moved.  Also the had three and a half minutes of day time and then the same with night time so you could see the difference.  The table was set up with all four seasons and the room temperature changed at each section as you walked around it.

We found R2D2 & CP3O that would interact with you, take a picture, & then send it to your email.
We had some fun with it.  First silly faces.

A mom & daughter moment!
Sisterly love, so cute!

In the one above I was laughing so hard I think I turned out looking funny, but it's okay because we had a wonderful time.
